Performance issues post release (9 June 2014)

PayFast experienced poor performance this morning, 9 June 2014 for a period of approximately 1 hour between 10:00 and 11:00.

This was the result of updates to the service released over the weekend where some performance issues manifested this morning during a period of high load.

We were able to isolate and resolve the issue fairly quickly, but during this time, access to the PayFast site and service would've been somewhat unpredictable. This would've affected access to the site by all buyers and account holders including payments.

To confirm, the problem has already been resolved, but we apologise for any issues which may have been experience during this time.
