How do I enable MoreTyme as a payment method on PayFast?

To enable MoreTyme as a payment method on your PayFast Dashboard, do the following:


  1. Log in to your PayFast account. 
  2. Navigate to Settings > Payment Methods.
  3. Scroll down to the MoreTyme box under Payment Methods and toggle it to Enabled.  



4. You’ll be taken through a quick application process where you’ll need to consent to the sharing of the following information with MoreTyme/TymeBank:
  • Merchant Business Name
  • Merchant address
  • Merchant contact information (email and phone number)
  • PayFast Merchant ID 
  • Company Reg. No.   
  • Site/URL
  • Merchant logo and images



5. Once your MoreTyme application has been approved you’ll receive an email from our support team. 

If you have difficulty adding MoreTyme as a payment method, please email our support team at support@payfast.help so that we can assist with your application.

Please note: For every successful purchase made through MoreTyme, you’ll be charged a transaction fee of 5.5% plus R2.00 Excl VAT.


Industry Exclusions 
If your business specialises in any of the following industries you won't be able to apply for MoreTyme:
  1. Adult entertainment and escort services
  2. Alcohol and tobacco retail 
  3. Arts and antique
  4. Auctioneers
  5. Aviation
  6. Car hire
  7. Cash & carry
  8. Embassies and consulates 
  9. Food retail (food sales only excluded)
  10. Finance, stock & securities and related companies
  11. Gambling and casino related companies
  12. Hotels, travel and accommodation
  13. Investment holding companies
  14. Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) and State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs)
  15. Pawnshops
  16. Drop shipping 
  17. Political and religious entities
  18. Precious metal and stones wholesale
  19. Pyramid sellers/schemes
  20. Subscription services, eg. Security, VOIP. VPN service, utilities, etc. 
  21. Virtual currencies (cryptocurrency etc.)
  22. Pharmacies (selective eligibility conditions apply)
  23. Fuel retailers (petrol sales prohibited)
