If you would like to receive payments through PayFast you need to sign up for a PayFast account, which is free to do and can be done completely online here. Follow the registration steps and fill in all the required information. You can register as an Individual (sole-proprietor), Business (Close corporation, Pty (Ltd), Trust) or a Cause (a registered charity or NPO).
Before you sign up you should double-check that we can process payments for your business. Read this article called Goods and Services Prohibited for processing through PayFast to make sure your business doesn't fall into one of these categories. Unfortunately, there are some regulating bodies that prohibit us from processing online payments for specific industries.
During registration, you will need to verify your email address by clicking the link sent to the email address you provided on registration. PayFast will also use this email to contact you with any information regarding your account, so make sure it’s an email address you use regularly.
