What kind of technical support does PayFast offer for third party plugins?
PayFast integrates with over 80 different shopping cart platforms and plugins. Depending on the issue, our Technical Support team may or may not be able to assist you. Specific examples are outlined below.
PayFast can offer technical support on the following:
PayFast payment page errors. While PayFast cannot change the plugin to resolve the errors, we can guide the
merchant on how to resolve the issue with the help of their developer.
PayFast will be unable to fix the following issues, however we can offer limited advice:
Errors related to a third-party plugin and it’s files. These errors will have to be resolved by the developers of the plugin.
Orders not updating due to errors in the ITN script. The plugin developers would need to investigate and resolve the issue.
Server/host issues. We recommend bringing these issues to the attention of your server administrator or hosting company.
Platform issues, such as emails not being sent, cron jobs not running, platform errors, themes, etc. Your website administrator would be best to advise on these types of issues.
PayFast managed plugins
With regards to PayFast supported plugins, which can be found under “PayFast Managed” plugins on the Shopping Carts page, PayFast can assist with resolving the following:
PayFast Payment page errors
Errors relating to the PayFast module files
Orders not updating due to the ITN security steps failing
Please note: PayFast will keep the PayFast supported plugins up to date, however we will be unable to provide timelines for when these updates are released.
PayFast will be unable to fix the following issues, however we can offer advice in certain situations:
Server/host issues.
No customisation of modules. PayFast will take suggestions into consideration, however we will not perform any customisations.
PayFast supported plugins that have been customised will not be supported/fixed by PayFast. PayFast will be able to advise on the issue in situations where investigation does not require access to the codebase of a third-party plugin and/or the developer of the plugin contacts us with details of the issues experienced.
Platform issues such as emails not being sent, cron jobs not running, platform errors, etc. Your website administrator would be best to advise on these types of issues.
