Step 2: Verify your account
To accept payments through PayFast, your account needs to be verified. To do this you need to submit FICA like documents. You do not have to submit original documents, scanned copies are fine.
New PayFast Dashboard
You can submit these documents on your PayFast Dashboard by navigating to Account > Verification Documents. Upload the required documents and click Submit Documents.
Old PayFast Dashboard
You can submit these documents on your account under the Account tab (wait for the page to load and then click the red verify button, upload your documents, click next and follow the steps).
It will take approximately 2 business days to verify your account.
Once your account is verified you will receive a series of emails from us.
You can verify your account as an individual, business or cause account.
